Getting Your Messages Heard in a Noisy World

(Best for one or two spokespeople – larger groups are better accommodated in a full-day or customized workshop).

All of our workshops are individualized to meet your organization's needs. To give you an idea how it works, here is a sample agenda that we utilize.

The half-day session is generally divided into three modules:

9:00 – 9:30am
Introduction and brief discussion of media experience
What media training provides
What you really need to know about working with the media
What the media needs from you
What's “news”
Your rights and responsibilities

9:40 – 11:00am
Creating and delivering your messages for print, radio and television
Developing messages that have impact and get used
Creating 'push button' responses
Creating the perfect sound bite
Flagging your responses
Bridging from their questions to your answers
Controlling the interview
Non verbal communication
Brief introduction to crisis communications

11:10am – 12:50pm Interview practice
(includes viewing and feedback)

On camera training #1 – Message Delivery

On camera training #2 – Non verbals

On camera training #3 – Putting it Together

Before the workshop, we'll study the issues affecting your organization to develop real-world practice interview questions.
