WHERE:
Weimer 1064 on the University of Florida campus
WHY:
Recent analysis of the student population in the University of Florida
(UF)’s public relations college shows that almost 90% of current
students are female. In-person conversations with students (and
previous panel discussions) show a great interest in how to balance
work and life responsibilities once students enter the workforce.
While much has been learned about different approaches (i.e., telecommuting,
flexible work hours, job sharing, working independently), each student
must evaluate the options and decide what strategies to employ to
best manage what is ultimately a very personal decision.
